Exploring Surface Patterns and Textures

Task:

In groups and using the high street and seafront for reference, seek and find the following surface patterns. You will need to photograph each of the following for hope and despair.

·         5 man-made surfaces e.g. metal, glass

·         5 natural surfaces e.g. leaves, grass, wood etc

·         5 floor surfaces e.g. carpet, tiles, lino, pavements etc

·         5 wall surfaces e.g. bricks, pebble-dashing etc

·         5 ceiling patterns e.g. lights, textures

·         5 edible objects/surfaces e.g. pick n mix stands, souvenir rock etc

·         5 repeat patterns e.g. windows in a symmetrical building

Be creative, think outside the box go further a field

At the end of the task you should end up with a collection of 70 photographs (35 for hope and 35 for despair).
